Bavarian championships in rescue swimming 2008

From 4th – 6th July the Bavarian championships in rescue swimming of the DLRG took place in Neumarkt, Germany. My team and I won in the open age-group (male) and are now qualified for the German championships in October which will take place in Paderborn, Germany.

Lectureship at the University of Applied Sciences Rosenheim

Starting with this winter’s semester I am going to give lectures on internet- and web-programming at the University of Applied Sciences Rosenheim. The official title is “Einführung in die Webprogrammierung”. I’m really looking forward to this new assignment.

tool-garage.de projects not actively maintained anymore

Today I decided to not actively maintain the projects on my tool-garage.de website any longer. This includes all the tgc*-projects like tgcSimplePoll and tgcCalendar. The main reasons for this are:

I’m not a student anymore but have a full-time job, so I do a lot less private or freelance projects, where I used to utilize these classes/libraries
spare-time is rare and I mostly use it to write articles, poke around with interesting new stuff and sometimes also to relax

From now on I will use this blog to write about my projects and my personal website to keep track of them.

If anyone of you frequently uses one of the mentioned projects and wants to maintain it in the future, please get in contact with me.

At the annual members meeting 2007 of the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure Berlin/Brandenburg (VDI) me and other fantastic graduates got honored for an outstanding final study degree.

At the new students matriculation event I got honored as best student of the class of 2001 in computer science at the University of Applied Sciences Brandenburg, Germany.
